What inspired you to stay at Bernstein for as long as you have?
My coworkers are what I truly value about my career at Bernstein. We attract and retain bright and talented people who consistently challenge me to be my best. I consider many of my colleagues my family. I also believe that Bernstein has both the structure and intentionality to do what’s right for our clients. Our culture is built on placing clients’ interests first and foremost and it drives every decision and action we make. This has kept me at Bernstein for over 17 years with many more to come.
Tell me about the types of clients you work with.
While all of my clients are unique, they share a level of complexity in terms of their financial situation. My goal is to bring my clients—who range from entrepreneurs to executives at public companies and entertainment industry professionals—sophisticated ideas and strategies that will provide them with streamlined solutions and peace of mind. All of my clients look at me as a partner to whom they can offload their financial responsibilities to free themselves up to focus on their passions.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
My wife and I have two little ones who occupy most of my time away from work. When I am not running after my kids, I enjoy helping others. I am on the board of my alma mater, George Washington University, as well as Team IMPACT, which is a program that helps kids who have debilitating and, in some cases, life-threatening illnesses. If I have any remaining spare time, I can be found running around the city of Los Angeles. I am an avid long-distance athlete who has completed ten marathons in my running career.
