What inspired you to join Bernstein?
Since beginning my career with Bernstein as an intern, I have never looked back. From day one, I have been inspired and driven by the firm’s culture of relentless innovation. Today, we must be forward-looking, agile, and creative in order to thrive and give our clients what they deserve. Those three words wouldn’t typically be used by most Wall Street analysts to describe a traditional asset manager. Bernstein is always thinking about the future in order to meet the evolving needs of our clients and partners and prepare them for a wide spectrum of investment landscapes. I am proud to partner with a firm that has engrained the need for internal and external disruption into its DNA.
What is the most fulfilling aspect of being an advisor to your clients?
In today’s world, investing is oftentimes overly complicated. Yet, at the same time, the scale of the universe of available investment strategies is overwhelming and constantly expanding. My most fulfilling professional moments arise when I can demystify the capital markets, thoroughly educate my clients, and arm them with whatever information they need to have the utmost confidence in their plans. Partnering with clients to create and implement sustainable, long-term plans that orbit around their values and personal goals will forever drive me. By getting to know my clients on a deep level, I only want to do more for them.
What passions do you pursue outside of work?
In my personal time, I enjoy anything that leads to muscle soreness and mental stillness. This pursuit often manifests itself in cycling through the Marin Headlands, going on hikes wherever I can find a trailhead, and anything else that helps me test and expand my comfort zone. I am most at peace when exploring Earth’s wilder corners, and always with a camera in hand.
