Prior to joining Bernstein’s Private Wealth business, I dedicated myself to building Bernstein’s international research product, spending time in New York, London, Frankfurt and Los Angeles. Through our hard work and collaboration, we grew revenues from zero to over $100mn within a decade. Additionally, I am proud to have helped many members of our research team achieve Institutional Investor All-America status, reflecting our commitment to excellence and industry leadership.

Which book had the most profound impact on you and why?

One book that had a profound impact on me is Out of Africa by Isak Dinesen. At a young age, this memoir fueled my desire to travel the world and embrace new experiences. It opened my eyes to diverse cultures and religions, fostering a strong sense of independence, natural curiosity and creativity. The author’s adventurous spirit inspired me to take chances and explore beyond my comfort zone. This broadened perspective allows me to bring innovative and creative solutions to our clients, drawing on a wealth of experiences and insights from around the globe.

What is the most fulfilling aspect of being an advisor to your clients?

The most fulfilling aspect of being an advisor to my clients is the ability to be an advocate, ensuring that their best interests are always at the forefront. Managing wealth and investing for the future are often not intuitive for many, and the vernacular can be foreign and confusing. My greatest joy comes from translating complex financial language into clear, actionable advice that empowers them to make informed decisions. This approach not only builds trust but also fosters long-term friendships grounded in mutual respect and understanding.
